The pressure was mounting as the students as students struggled to create a dye with the perfect jade green colour. As soon as they thought they were getting close, the colour would seemingly miraculously transform into an unsightly olive green. Looking around her, Hema realised that to succeed in the assignment, she would have to do things a little differently. She poured the mixture into two beakers, and heated one of them, stirring continuously as she added the alkali. Before her eyes, the mixture yielded the perfect jade green and stayed that way even when she took it off the burner. Her professor praised her for thinking out of the box and trying something different, and she resolved to always examine every challenge with this critical and logical lens.
